Airbag - How Am I Driving? EP
About This Album
Since Radiohead have released numerous European CD singles over the years, with many of their B-sides being as strong as their album material, they decided to compile the best six B-sides recorded during the OK Computer sessions and release it domestically. Each song is a little gem, such as the glossy noise of "Pearly," and the gigantic sound of "Polyethylene, Pts. 1 & 2" and the computerized instrumental "Meeting in the Aisle." Also included are the gentle yet spacy "A Reminder," the ragged rock of "Palo Alto," and the melancholia of "Melatonin." You'll also find OK Computer's opening track, "Airbag," which is used again as an opening track here in the same version. With such a wealth of high-quality unreleased material and B-sides that many fans outside of Europe won't get to hear, most are left pondering the same question: why doesn't Radiohead just release a compilation of all their B-sides and save their fans some cash? ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
