One of my fav Radiohead albums. The only thing bad about this album is how radio stations played to death Karma Police. Karma Police is the only Radiohead song that I have deleted from my collection. It really isn't Radiohead, it belongs to the masses now.(

radiohead has always had a different sound. even pablo honey stands out from the other wannabees. thats what makes radiohead, radiohead. they just continue to grow and change as any good band should. they always have a new sound with every album. why would anyone listen to a band that always sounds the same?... BLAH!!!

well, i can appreciate what kt321 has to say about not taking things too seriously, yet for me Radiohead has been the saving grace between my soul falling off a cliff and their songs swooping in to catch me; there is no denying their power; simply SAVED ME down play all you like, not I.

also, reading message boards like i have for a few years, I see that Radiohead fans take this music much too seriously. Of course it must happen, this is radiohead. That's what happens to their fans, myself included. But honestly now that I've tossed aside the weight of their discography from my weary playlist, I have a lot of room for more new stuff, and *gasp* I can actually grow and change and like something else for a change. Oh my. Something new. Scary but exciting. The not knowing. ooOOOoo

man this album rules. At first I hated it like any good radiohead fan should, but the fact is they sound so much the opposite of what they are now, what 'cool'-ness in music has become that it's funny and endearing. I love laughing, and this album puts me through fits of joy when I hear radiohead trying to be early 90s rock posers. It's awesome. The best parts are when they rock out-not like the radiohead we know but just like some dudes trying to be rock stars. I love them even more now.

"Old Greg" wrote in here, a while back about how Pandora kinda misses the mark when they give you SIMILIAR ALBUMS. I have found this to be true a multitude of times; IN MY OPINION. anybody like that solo Thom Yorke album that came out a while back. mostly electronica. . . ?

This and The Bends really weren't as different from OK Computer as everyone is saying. Listen to this album, or The Bends, and then listen to OK Computer. And when you listen to OK Computer, don't pay attention to all the reverb, extra layered guitar tracks, random noise, and other assorted studio tricks that became popular in the mid nineties, and you'll realize that the sound isn't all that different. The songs are better, yes, but not very different...

When I listen to this album, it almost doesn't seem like I'm listening to Radiohead because it sounds so different than their later albums. But it's very good anyway. My favorite is probably "Stop Whispering", "Lurgee", or "Thinking About You". They're all very nice.

This is no "OK Computer," by any means. Listening to some of the songs on here - "Thinking About You" or "You," for example - this doesn't sound like the Radiohead we got to know later on. But it's a very good album nonetheless.

Creep is definitely my favorite song from this album. Kid A is great. But the only thing I don't get is why exactly Pandora has Shinedown as a similar album???

i just like Anyone can Play Guitar, those lyrics are top notch. Amnesiac is my favorite radiohead album though

This is so much of a different album than the rest of Radiohead's Discography, I don't hate it at all either. Sure, I absolutely love OK Computer and their later albums, but I also love anything 90's rock/alt and this fits the bill just fine.

I don't know about this album, because I am a fan of the OK Computer thru Hail to the Thief period I don't really like this Album. Pablo Honey is way too mainstream for my tastes. But their evolution from mainstream to pioneers of Alt. music was the reason I love Radiohead so much. On a scale of 1-10 I would give this a 3.5

i got into radiohead thru ok computer, and as a 'true fan' it was my duty to despise and loathe Pablo Honey, especially after i bought it and listened to it once. but now, being less uptight and hopefully more grown-up, i love this era of radiohead. there's something funny but also fun and sick about hearing them rocking out before Thom Yorke's paranoid period and before the band started worrying about sounding cool. It's refreshing sometimes. Plus including the Bonus edit of Creep kicks a**!

To their credit, Pablo is the most uneven album they've ever released. The first half was great, but I doubt I'd miss much from the second half. It's also the most conventional which means that all those attracted to them because of their innovations and willingness to experiment are going to find this pretty lacking. I loved this album when it came out, but I listen to all their others much more frequently. Good for its time, but it hasn't held up as well over time for me.

last i checked i really can't say that anyone in their right Radiohead mind would say that Us and Them has anything in common with the style and music of Pablo Honey maybe besides drums, guitar, vocals, and bass ooo go pandora... |
