Amazing album full of strange electronic sounds and beats. Similiar to Autechre, but more beat oriented than any of their efforts, which can be a pleasant change. Easier to get into in the head-nodding sense. Still, there is plenty of weirdness here. Lot's of open and spacious ambient material, with creeping sounds sweeping through the mix, making way for pounding metallic monster rhythms. A worthy album from Richard Devine that shows he is truly a competent master of the craft. Recommended.
