About This Album
British songstress Ruby Turner showed her range and power on this collection of Motown classics. Unfortunately, she didn't get the attention she deserved or the praises she merited for her wondrous, soulful interpretations. But the gospel-tinged stylist turned in a standout performance, and showed that it was possible to bring fresh life to shopworn classics. Sadly, this has now been deleted. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
