About This Album
Overall, Shai's follow-up to their breakthrough album If I Ever Fall in Love is a stronger record than their debut, featuring more complete songs and smoother harmonies. The first half of the disc is devoted to seductive slow numbers, while the second part is dominated by deep bass grooves. While there's nothing as strong as "If I Ever Fall in Love" on Blackface, it is a better album, demonstrating that the band is continuing to grow. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
