As I Survive The Suicide Bomber
About This Album
Slowride's full-length debut, As I Survive the Suicide Bomber, showcases the band's penchant for '90s-style indie pop-punk, recalling Jawbreaker and the Foo Fighters, Slowride combines the raw, wounded-heart emotion of the former with the anthemic pop sensibilities of the latter. The songs bristle along at giddily breathless tempos, and boast sugary melodies that only partially obscure the melancholy nature of the lyrics. This is powerfully captured by producer Ed Rose (Get Up Kids, Appleseed Cast). ~ Andy Hinds, All Music Guide
