Renee Diggs-Philli p s , former lead singer of the group Starpoint, died at age of 50. She died on March 18, 2005 due to complication s with her disease Multiple Sclerosis.
During the 'Restless' tour, in 1985, Renee was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Renee recorded three more albums with Starpoint under bad health conditions. Renee formed the Renee Diggs Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis. |

They may have had some West Indian members but the lead singer was from New Jersey I believe. Saw them on Soul Train back in the '80s.
