When the soundtrack for the classic Talking Heads movie Stop Making Sense was originally issued in 1984, it was only nine tracks in length, even though a total of 16 were performed on film. So when the film was re-released in theaters and on home video in 1999, a new version of the soundtrack was issued as well, including all 16 songs and sporting an even better remastered sound. Recorded over three nights at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre in December 1983 (during the tour in support of Speaking in Tongues), the usual four-piece lineup was supplemented by Parliament-Funkadelic keyboardist Bernie Worrell, percussionist Steve Scales, guitarist Alex Weir, and backup singers Lynn Mabry and Ednah Holt. Songs from all eras of the band are featured. The first four tracks are early selections ("Psycho Killer," "Heaven"), performed as bare renditions, plus full-band funky versions of such later hits as "Life During Wartime," "Burning Down the House," "Once in a Lifetime," and "Girlfriend Is Better." Also included are lesser-known album tracks ("Swamp," "This Must Be the Place," "Crosseyed and Painless"), plus a track from David Byrne's 1981 Catherine Wheel album ("What a Day That Was"), and "Genius of Love" by the Tom Tom Club (a side project of drummer Chris Frantz and bassist Tina Weymouth). One of the greatest live albums ever, the 1999 version of Stop Making Sense captures the Talking Heads at the height of their powers. A quintessential purchase. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide

lol...Roquemutt: No, Pandora doesn't ever fix the album cover mashups. It's become part of what I love about Pandora. Why report anything? Ok, it may give you a nice feeling, and that's...ok
Love this album's music list. Nice new cover too. Seems like Ozzy has also changed his look.

Question - How long before the Pandora computer starts doing mash-ups by itself?
One of the most beloved albums in my colection, and in near-constant rotation in my car. Perfect in every way. Better than The Name of This Band, and nearly every song on here eclipses the studio versions. I miss Tina's funky bass line on Psycho Killer though.
On the other hand, Heaven is light-years better here than the original cut, Burning Down the House, Take me To the River and Slippery People crackle with energy not captured on the studio takes and Lynh and Ednah are perfect additions thr
"Nice point to consider: at Pandora, THEY WRITE BACK (and promptly, too). Tre cool."
Sure, they write back. Doesn't mean they DO anything. I reported that they had the wrong album review for Death Cab's Narrow Stairs over a month ago. To my knowledge it still hasn't been fixed.
I wrote to Pandora re album art mix-ups (this isn't the only one I've seen); received a nice reply, was told there is indeed a problem with the source they use for the cover art. They're working on solving it.
Nice point to consider: at Pandora, THEY WRITE BACK (and promptly, too). Tre cool. (ever try to get a straight answer from the appropriately-named Yahoo? Mixed success at best, in my experience...)
Good to see I'm not the only one who noticed that--and thought "Stop Making Sense" was appropriate. I've seen this happen lately on other ones too. Something's gone weird in Pandoraland.
