Hello My Friends Do You Read Me?
About This Album
In one way, TAM! seems content to tread the ground covered by dozens of alt-rock groups of the past decade: tedious drum patterns, endlessly repeating riffs, loud, slacker choruses_but then they can toss off the occasional good hook and back it up with a heartfelt (if somewhat juvenile) dose of social commentary. The constant pull back and forth, though, wears the listener down after awhile. While songs like "Punctured Brain" and "Machines" barely contain their own erotic energy, most of the others, relying on Tam Treanor's whiny, Liam Gallagher-inspired delivery and a myriad of synthesized effects, just aren't all that exciting. ~ Jim Smith, All Music Guide
