The Very Best of Tommy Cash is a nearly complete summation of the chart career of Tommy Cash, whose remarkable similarity to his famous older brother makes this quite a find for fans of the Man in Black. Cash had three Top Ten country hits in 1969-1970, the biggest of which was "Six White Horses," a powerful tribute to John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, Jr. that crossed over to the lower reaches of the pop chart. "Rise and Shine" and "One Song Away" were Cash's only other major hits, but his material was consistently good and generally upbeat, so it's surprising that he didn't fare better with music buyers. All of Cash's hits for Epic and Monument are included on this 16-track anthology. ~ Greg Adams, All Music Guide

There must be something wrong with my ears. Tommy Cash sounds more like Tommy Overstreet than Johnny Cash. But either way he sounds pretty good. I guess I made a mistake when I didn't go to the Tommy Cash Theater in Osage Beach Mo. when I had the chance!
