...Love Triumph for sure. This is one of their best. I don't think Motley Crue's Dr. Feelgood belongs here as a "similar Album" though. I'm loosing a little faith in the Music Genome Project. Also I wish they would take Journey out of my Triumph station!!!! Triumph shreds but Journey is a chick band. Neil Schon is an awesome axe-man - but Journey does not exemplify that for him... in fact the weak & whiney singing totally cancels out the guitar. Just when the riffs start to kill – here comes t

By far, my favorite Triumph effort. I caught them in St. Louis, MO during the Thunder Seven tour. Outstanding show. Rik and Gil can flat-out play. Great show and great album.

I agree this is truely a great album. The summer of '84 I traveled everywhere with this tape and RUSH's "Grace Under Pressure."
Jody I agree. Rik Emmett is highly unappreciate d . He is a phenominal guitarist.

ALthough many would call Allied Forces the "definitive" Triumph album, for me it will always be Thunder Seven. EVERY song on this album is well-written and played and it includes the best collection of Rik Emmett's virtuoso guitar playing showing him to be truly one of rock's most unappreciate d guitarists. Stand outs on this album include the powerfully, melodic "Time Goes By"; the heavy, tempo changing "Stranger in a Strange Land" and the elegant, power ballad "Killing Time".

Most likely Triumph's best album since "Rock-N-Roll Machine" and sad but true their last great album before they broke up.
Great power chords and fast fret work make this disc a "must have"
