Uncle Sam
About This Album
Although he suffers from undistinguished material, Uncle Sam's eponymous debut makes it clear that he is a promising contemporary R&B lover man. His husky yet smooth voice is seductive -- sort of like if Barry White could croon -- and he sounds good in the lush arrangements that dominate Uncle Sam. Unfortunately, he doesn't always have the songs to match his gospel-inflected delivery. Nevertheless, his singing demonstrates enough potential to make Uncle Sam a promising debut. ~ Leo Stanley, All Music Guide
