Nicolette died in December 1997 at the age of 45, due to a cerebral edema. For those of us who really love music, she was a big hit. Similar to The Band, who prior to their fame, were known only as Dylan's band.

"It's gonna take a lotta love...to make it through the night" ..... I discovered Nicolette in the '70's and fell in love with her voice. I still have an album or two of hers. She never became as famous as she should have. And yes, she was great with Neil on "Comes a Time" (which I also have). Boy, there was some EXCEPTIONALL Y GREAT music in the '70's.

No, she did not die of cancer. SHe died of a rare flesh eating disease. She was discovered and given a boost by Neil on his Comes a time album. She had a stunning voice.
