this is to tylor0871 dude the black album was one ok but no where near the best. i honsty think mettallica should stop now b4 they do something like the black album or st anger. real mettallica fans like them when thay was young. they sounded so much better. but i do say they did alot better on there newest album. i say they cut the best song writer when they fired dave. and it got worse when cliff died. 1983-1988 was the best years they will ever see

It's okay...not as good as the originals obviously, but its interesting how other artists interpret the songs. People who say Metallica is dead, listen to Death Magnetic. I know it may not sound like the way they used to be, but its still a million times better than St. Anger, Load, Reload, and even in my opinion Black Album. Especially "That Was Just Your Life", "All Nightmare Long", "Suicide & Redemption", and "The Unforgiven III". Long live Metallica, the greatest metal band!

While its funny, a little, to hear James make up a verse for 'Lightning', its good to see him sober. As far as this stuff goes, it is a collection of damn good covers, nothing more. I hate it when cover bands try to sound so much like the original, that I might as well LISTEN to the original. This is different, and it is a welcome change.

I like that the tribute is paid only to the good era metallica.
they need a tribute, so sad they're no longer with us, though they've had a few good songs post black album
and a few songs which were good, but not in a metallica way.
