The Best Of Zodiac Mindwarp And The Love Reaction
About This Album
Two years before the Cult kicked off the biker rock revival, Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reaction -- fronted by Mark Manning, editor in chief of London's Flexipop magazine -- kicked out the jams with "High Priest of Love." And while their albums showed little promise, this best-of combines a few singles and long-player tracks is a cool little time because it's all in overdrive. Cuts like "Tattooed Beat Messiah," "Prime Mover," "Planet Girl," "Let's Break the Law," and "Driving on Holy Gasoline" -- as well as a cool cover of "Born to Be Wild" -- rev up the engines, and it's a sleazy greasy ride into guitar riff oblivion. Now, if only they would have included "High Priest of Love," it would have been perfect. ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
