Yeah, I'm with Punk Guy. If you know where to look, America is capable of producing pretty good black metal.
The Funeral Pyre, for instance. L.A. based, but they sound pretty much just like Old Man's Child with higher pitched vocals. |
Yeah, I think it's nice that my long held opinion of there not being any good black metal in America is being overturned. Jesus Elicoor, chill out. Although that is a nice jab there about MCR, can I borrow that?
Elicoor seems to have a case of the "terrible two's". Punk guy was just giving and honest opinion. One that I share and is backed up by critics everywhere.
"The Phoenix, AZ-based Abigail Williams" "is a perfect example of an American (band) with a very Nordic-influ e n c e d sound." "('In The Shadow Of A Thousand Suns' is) a respectable outing and shows how enjoyably well American black metallers can emulate their European counterparts when they put their minds to it."-AMG Alex Henderson |

You can go suck a dick Punk Guy. No one wants to hear your bullshit. They don't sound like they are from Norway. Go f**k off back to My Corprophilia c Romance and F*g Religion.
A pretty good American Black metal Band, they sound like they could be from Finland or Norway. Pretty good stuff.
Repetative riffs and screams that need translation. I do not see what all the rage is on the black metal scene.
Some of these American metal bands that are totally unknown are really good.
Love how these guys can combine Black Dahlia Murder style vocals with heavier Children Of Bodom instrumental s . . Awesomenesss s s s s s
who cares wat kinda f****** metal it is..its f****** metal d***.haha they rock
The new album (In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns) is not blackcore at all, in fact it's defined more as symphonic black metal. It's really good. First time I heard this band I had an orgasm and the new album gave me 2 lol.
lol, well technically Marduk may have beaten them to it as they are called "Norsecore" for adding heavy grindcore elements to their music, but these guys are something else altogether. It just f**king works!
If you like these guys you should check out Martriden and Dawn of Relic. |
Shadochief! You're right! Blackcore is what they are. My friend calls them satancore haha. I love this though. The vocals and guitars are sick.
Symphonic Black Metal fused with metalcore?
Blackcore? I think we may have a new genre. |
