The Acacia Strain
Biography
East Coast alternative metal ensemble the Acacia Strain utilize a bone-crushing rhythm section, apocalyptic samples, and a unique triple-guitar assault to deliver their signature blend of hardcore, noise, and death and doom metal. Formed in Springfield, MA, in 2002, the group consists of guitarists Daniel Daponde and Daniel Laskeiwitz, vocalist/guitarist Vincent Bennett, bass player Seth Coleman, and drummer Kevin Boutot. They released their debut, 3750, on Prosthetic Records in 2002, followed by Dead Walk for Razor & Tie in 2006. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide

So in essence, if you want to save Metal... Don't repost that at all. Someone didn't think about this.

@ Baron Von Shouse: I agree, i have no idea why theses guys are labeled alternitive metal. i would call lame bands like godsmack alternitive metal.

"Beautiful day, you would hardly notice all the disease.
And we are all to become desperate, as desperation is grounds for remorse. And suddenly everything else bows down in comparison. When the blast wave hit, the impact burned paint from the walls onto their skin, inadvertentl y mixing new hues of green and blue that would never bee seen again." Awesome. |

Stand corrected, muthafukkas TAS formed before 2002, their first disc to drop was "And Life is very Long..." on Devils Head Records, in very early 2002. A damned good disc. If I wanna get technical I could say they started in late 99. If ya don't have it, find a way to get it!!!
|
