Biography
Technical death metal band All Shall Perish hails from Oakland, California, but their eponymous three-track demo had to make its way across the Pacific Ocean and be embraced by Japan's Amputated Vein Records to make possible their first album, Hate, Malice, Revenge, released in 2003. Founded a year earlier, the group then parlayed a tireless touring schedule into a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast (which re-released their debut in 2005), and comprises vocalist Craig Betit, guitarists Beniko Orum and Caysen Russo (recently departed), bassist Mike Tiner and drummer Matt Kuykendall. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide

Yeah, BDM is kind of lacking the integral yet boring, endlessly repetitive breakdowns that make deathcore deathcore.
@thezachdahl i a m u r d e r : Look up Opeth and Echoes of Eternity. (I'm probably going to get a bunch of crap for even thinking about suggesting the latter, but whatever, it was formed by deathsters.. . ) Opeth pretty much has one of the best vocalists in the genre and all of their songs are thoughtful. The latter is essentially death metal guitaring with clean female vocals. |

ok first of all i am NOT a hardcore dancer emo f**got.... when i see them at concerts i f**kin push their little p**sy asses around and start a pit. and second of all sence there is an endless amount of metal bands out there right now and they all sound differnt and have differnt music qualities, its probly a good thing to have subgenres u dumbfuck.. and no there is no "core" in new JFAC its technical death metal. u know beacause its death metal but intrumentaly very technical and fast.

the singer of bdm would call his band melodic death but you kids love the core subgenres. f**k that just a bunch of poser scensters with your hardcore dancing. lame.

the black dahlia murder and new jfac are both deathcore. and maybe i stated that wrong. yes i'll admit that the instruments in death metal are unbelieveabl y incredible but really i look at vocals mainly and cannibal corpse's lyrics are pathetic. im not trying to argue i'm trying to say what i believe. and actually one deathmetal band i like is despised icon so it's not all bad.

man who cares about subgenres you guys get too caught up in that s**t. it sounds like tech death to me and these guys are the s**t. new guitarist owns. these bands and death metal overall is prob the most talented of metals in my opinion. and these lyrics are wonderfully meaningful. "trade us off til black gold reigns.. fought this fight, theres no end in sight, except for our rights..." come on now how is that meaningless.

And if you hear something that you think is deathmetal, but then it goes into four minutes of breakdowns, then it's probably deathcore. And just for everyone's knowledge, grindcore is an offshoot of death metal. Most of those pig-squealin g crap bands are deathcore, not grindcore. |

this isn't death metal either. because death metal is talentless. its really really low growling with stupid lyrics that mean nothing. if you hear a band that you think is death metal and its good, it's probably deathcore. which actually means something.

never seen so many differnt opinions on a band in my life.... its a shame how many ppl think they know somthing about metal but couldnt f**kin tell the differnce between death metal and f**king grindcore... Grindcore is f**kin gay how dare u say ASP is that genre!!!! Listion to all three albums all the way through and youll see what i mean, ASP is definantly a solid band.

Sometimes the songs get stuck in my head and I don't notice who it's by until I come in here and recognise it. Hat. Malice. Revenge is the best album of theirs in my opinion. And how's it sound grind corey? Compare them to Regurgitated and see if you get the same result.

The Good Shephard, you are retarded if you think all shall perish over all is s**t. Listen to any song off of Awaken the Dreamers, or Price of Existence, theyre so f**king nasty, and most of the grind sound is lost in theyre first album. What metal do you even like?

saw them live last night, put on probably the best show i have seen this intire year. all shall perish = gods. listen and love

read their lyrics while listening to their music, its pretty mind blowing. i think awaken the dreamers and price of existence are the best, more tech than HMR, but laid to rest is the s**t! and their rhythms and lead is very complicated, the whole thing is technical, thats what they are saying duder. i like the new singer better, listen to black gold reign and tell me he cant sing better than their first dude. never heard him hit the high notes.

Their new guitarist was the lead guitarist in my music camp band three years ago, his playing is probably the craziest s**t ive ever seen. And by the way Moo-Moo, Rob Halford of Judas Priest is openly gay and Priest influenced any metal you listen to. So take ur head out of ur a**.
