I don't know what take you guys heard but In A Mellow Tone, the one I heard was far from "mellow" - it kicked a**. I bet Andrea would be throwing his arms up, after reading the "this is just so mellow" after dancing all over this tune. "love it" yes, got to love it, but I'd just say it was far from mellow, even though it can be played that way, especially since it is called In A Mellow Tone - but not this take.

Like the voicings and the spaces he leaves for the bass and drum. Bill Evans influence is all over this. That's good.

Andrea Pozza (Genova 1965) inizia lo studio del pianoforte in età giovanissima sotto la guida del padre Enos, grande appassionato di Jazz e pianista dilettante. All' età di dieci anni inizia lo studio della musica classica al Conservatori o N.Paganini di Genova sotto la guida del M.ro Franco Trabucco. A 16 anni si comincia ad esibire nell'ambient e jazzistico genovese ed inizia così la sua carriera di musicista jazz che lo vedrà, dal 1981 ad oggi a fianco di tanti grandi personaggi del jazz.
