Biography
Not to be confused with the myriad Attack Attack(s) that were all the rage at the outset of the 21st century, the Columbus, OH based Attack Attack (the bands were delineated by their usage or non-usage of an exclamation point) were a screamo/metalcore outfit that held true to a strict set of Christian beliefs. Members Nick Barham (vocals), Johnny Franck (guitar and vocals), Andrew Whiting (guitar), John Holgado (bass), Caleb Shomo (keyboards), and Andrew Wetzel (drums) inked a deal with genre label Rise Records, and released their debut, Someday Came Suddenly, in 2008. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide

Definitely a solid band. Not so much Christian anymore. And I think it's weird how the bio doesn't mention that Austin Carlisle was the original screamer but got kicked out and replaced by Nick. Nick actually just left the band so Caleb is taking on screams. They went ahead and put all the synth to backing tracks. It actually works soo well :) |

@sinfulhands : What exactly is it classified as? I first would have just lumped it into the metalcore category, but then I was told they were hXc, and now I'm thinking that screamo might be a fitting genre too...Now I'm really not sure. And, as a side note, when 8 of 12 song samples have a breakdown, I can't help but laugh. |

well just like you cant judge a book by its cover, you cant judge an album by its cover. i like the cover itself but, from the looks of it i thought it was a pop band. i was wrong they are good!!

You know, I saw one of these guys' music videos. I think the entire song was just a one note breakdown, except for the whiny choruses that all hXc bands are required to have in every song.

Attack Attack is a phenomenal band. I liked them for their music... then I read the lyrics... music has never moved me to tears like they have.

We need more bands like "Attack Attack!." No one can really compare to them. Just can't get enough synth in my life. Also love the christian foundation. Pretty hard to pull off like they do. 10 out of 10.

Seriously, I flipping love how every genre of music is expressed throughout this album. Amazing job showing versatility, yet, keeping true to the original style. A+++ If you don't have this album yet, quit reading, and go get it!!!
