Absolutely, check him out. The Rainmakers are a terrific live band, and although I own only four of the albums mentioned below, I know there are more. I listen to them probably three or four hours a week, because I only listen to music only about three or four hours a week.

Vastly underappreci a t e d songwriter whose band, The Rainmakers, put out three really great albums in the mid to late 80s. Look up tunes like "Long Gone Long," "Downstream, " "The Wages of Sin" "Small Circles" and "Johnny Reb."

Bob plays each Wednesday at the Record Bar in KC Mizzou. You can DL many of his shows free o' charge at archive.org. The Rainmakers actually had a a couple of additional releases many folks don't know about - Skin and Flirting With The Universe.

Walkenhorst is from Kansas City. He started as in a cover band with "Steve, Bob and Rich" which later became "The Rainmakers." The Rainmakers released three albums in the late 80's. The group then went to Europe where Walkenhorst continued to garner a following.
