Vastly underappreciated songwriter whose band, The Rainmakers, put out three really great albums in the mid to late 80s. Look up tunes like "Long Gone Long," "Downstream," "The Wages of Sin" "Small Circles" and "Johnny Reb."

Walkenhorst is from Kansas City. He started as in a cover band with "Steve, Bob and Rich" which later became "The Rainmakers." The Rainmakers released three albums in the late 80's. The group then went to Europe where Walkenhorst continued to garner a following.
