Bring Me The Horizon
Biography
Fronted by a floppy-haired clothing designer who looks quite a bit like an emo version of Saturday Night Live's Andy Samberg and sings in an unusually high-pitched vocal style suggesting that the Darkness' Justin Hawkins was a key unacknowledged influence, Bring Me the Horizon aren't the average deathcore band. The group was formed in Sheffield, England, during 2004; singer Oliver Sykes, guitarists Lee Malia and Curtis Ward, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Matt Nicholls originally established their own label, Thirty Days of Night, to release their debut EP, This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For, in 2005. Upon signing to the higher-profile label Visible Noise (Lostprophets, etc.), the EP was reissued the following year. Bring Me the Horizon's full-length debut, Count Your Blessings, was released in October 2006. ~ Stewart Mason, All Music Guide

I don't know what you're all talking about Oli singing too much in suicide season. If you call his yelling/scre a m i n g in pitch singing then ok. but like said, it gives them diversity. If BMTH stuck with straight brutal (which I did like also) everything begins to meld together and sound the same. And in case you didn't know "The Sadness Will Never End" the singing vocals is by the frontman of Architects. Which is another big influence of mine. Killer Riffs with Killer Pipes!

my girlfriend loves you guys!! so do i!! us gals would kill(though not literally) to go to one of your concerts.
ROCK ON!! |
i agree with thezachdahli a m u r d e r in that suicide season did feature a little too much "singing" from oli. but in the same way it shows their diverstity as a band. overall a very good band. the drummer is an underappreci a t e d aspect of a very good band.
they were better when they were true deathcore. suicide season was good but oli sang too much, which honestly failed.
i f***ing love bmth adn i love the diversity i think i might have got my mom hooked... lol
These guys are the s**t. And yes, cut that dickhead's brakes. Oli is waaaaay hotter than samberg.

People who still count Pantera/Slay e r in the same genre as Carnifex or Bring Me the Horizon cant be trusted to have valid opinions.
Im sorry, but Pantera/Slay e r are classic metal. They are not hardcore/scr e a m o . Dont judge them as hardcore/scr e a m o . BMtH is a good band. There are better, but they still have some pretty amazing songs. |
Most amazing metalcore band alive and probably of our generation.. . . a l s o hottest frontman of.....well, forever.
Lmao at carebearkick e r .
Bunch'a faggots. Meshuggah, Gojira, Chelsea Grin, The Classic Struggle, Carnifex, Death, Slayer, Pantera. Real metal. Emo's and Hot Topic have no right to be in metal as much as religion. |
