Camp Lo
Biography
Camp Lo is a rap group from the Bronx who melds hip-hop with jazz sensibilities and funk. After having a hit single, "Coolie High," from The Great White Hype soundtrack in early 1996, they released their debut album, Uptown Saturday Night, in February 1997. The album was reissued two years later on Arista Records, and a second album (Let's Do It Again) finally appeared in 2002. Five years later, Camp Lo returned with Black Hollywood (2007), their third album. It was produced entirely by Ski Beatz, who had worked with the duo on their previous albums as well. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

I know every word to Uptown Saturday night. The best CD during that time period. There isn't a rapper around during the 90's that could touch that album. Why didn't they get more credit?!? They are never referenced as an influence by anyone that is currently worth a damn. The most over looked group ever!

Lo's USN is a classic. Still spinning it on the regular today. It is amazing how after listening to the record in 2008, I still am catching on to new hidden gem these cats are droppin' in the rhymes.
These cats were smooth and laided back. "Luchini" was my anthem for the '97 season.... Long live Camp Lo, they desereved a sophomore album before ten years later...
love camp lo. This goes way back for me." Back in the day when I was young I'm not a kid anymore but sometimes I sit and wish I was. " What you know about that?
Camp Lo! People don't even know! Much respect! Luchini fallin' from da sky let's get rich!
Can't help but to groove to their sound. We love yall and hip-hop is in need of more great music. Artists like Kanye, Common, Jigga, Nas, Little Brother, MF Doom, and more are the minority on the stank radio.

these cats got that vibe that only the grown and sexy can make out too.
