Celldweller
Selected Discography
um...yeh...t h i s dorky(not "cool" dorky either) guy at work told me about this band and i was a little hesitant on giving a listen. I gotta admit, i am frickin diggin it. Seriously. How have I lived without knowing of this band? Definately gonna go purchase some.

Klayton is genius! What I've heard off of Wish upon a Black Star is amazing, can't wait to get it. I've always felt that Klayton has never received the credit he deserves. The man helped define Industrial in the early 90's with Circle of Dust. Go listen to Brainchild and tell me who else sounded like that in '91? He was, and still is ahead of his time.

Effin' awesome! I might just have to buy their albums. >=F
I want to thank Celldweller for being awesome. I'm looking forward to listening to a lot more from Klayton.
Great band, every sound I've heard from them belongs in the background of a horror movie.
Deadmix, shitknot sucks. I wouldn't ever listen to them again if I were you.
I am hooked. GREAT artist!

It's not really industrial though... most of the time it's way more numetal but with more electronics than usual. There are some really neato pure eloctronic white noise goodness moments though. It's definitely industrial influenced and it rocks and I suppose that's all that matters.

Wow I completely forgot that I enjoyed this man's work. Thank you, Pandora, thank you. Now tell me where he's from!
I love pandora!! I have heard so many new bands that I never new I loved!! This band sounds pretty good.
Sounds a little like NIN.... |
Yes...YES Dan!!
I was thinking..." R a g e ? No...Trent? No..." Then I realized it was someone I hadn't heard. What industrial was supposed to be but never very often was! |
that myspace link made me orgasm in my pants.
Celldweller is probably one of the best sounds i've hear in a LONG LONG LONG time. <3 |
Ja! this is nice, just booked marked! ok then keep it up!
My ears beg for anything that Mr. Klayton has laid his hands on, i cannot simply wait for more.

As of September 2008: Klayton is in studio working on a true follow up to the first self titled Celldweller album, going by the tentatively title of "Sophomore", for obvious reason.
The first track of that album has been released, and goes by the unconfirmed name of "Birthright - Demo". It can be heard via his myspace page (http://www. m y s p a c e . c o m / c e l l d w e l l e r ) , and can also be heard on various trailers such as for "Speed Racer", and "Iron Man". |

"Klayton" Scott Albert.
An amazing song writer, and even more amazing producer. Yes people, "Celldweller " is a one man show. Responsible for the sound and production, helped only with some drumming and studio hands. (Back up female vocals provided by his Girlfriend. His sound is a compilation of Rock/Metal, blended with electronic arrangements , topped with some synth frosting. It's as if Trent Reznor and BT (Brian Transeau) made hot, kinky sex on the beach, and gave birth to: Celldweller. |
Yeah. Klayton. Awesome since the old days. Glad that people recognize his skills. Like a mini-Reznor
This is a new flavor for me. It's almost like korn and the old industrial scene had a love-child. I hope this guy has the balls to back up this sound... I'm sick of the fake s**t.
this is actually not a band, it's just one guy, and it's pretty kick a**
It's a shame Pandora only has the debut album and none of the EPs/singles nor remix/b-side albums...
Very good. Some very technoy songs but then there is the hardcore metal songs too. I've been listening to them for years
It's like metal, but with a coolio techno beat and synths going in the backround.
This guy rocks. He manages to sound like Slipknot and Nine Inch Nails all at the same time.
Do I dance or head bang? |
To those who don't know, The guy behind Celldweller (as brian791 has said) currently goes by Klayton. Klayton's birth name is Scott Albert, and he kind of has an anonymity fetish. Here are the projects that I know he was behind (his name isn't on half of them)
Argyle Park- Misguided AP2- Suspension of Disbelief (Scott did two songs on the album) All Circle of Dust Albums ChATTERbOX- Despite (He produced it and did a lot of guitar and vocal work) All of Criss Angel's music Klank- Still Suffering |
Celldweller is the brainchild of artist Scott Albert. Previous works include Circle of Dust.
