This is just like that Stone Sour song "Bother" where Corey Taylor got all the credit for that song because he wrote it himself, I think.

Chad wrote the lyrics and the music for this song. On the Nickelback songs, he writes the lyrics and they all write the music.

I'm surprised that Chad isn't on that guitarist list. I've never seen any guitarist in history shake the necks of their guitars when the song gets to a standstill or it ends. Yeah, people like Jimi Hendrix deserve to be on there, but so does Chad. If I made that list, I'd put him on it for sure. He's a unique guitarist just like the guitarists that got on that list.

This song sounds nothing like Seal's song "Kiss From A Rose". The only two attributes that these songs share are triple note feel and vocal centric aesthetic. Shirley Manson must have looked at those attributes when she criticized the song.

Hero is my favorite song. I like Chad Kroeger more than Nickelback though. ;)

Chad Kroeger is the lead singer of the band "Nickelback. " For whatever reason the song "Hero" (which is most likely why you're on this page), made famous by the "Spiderman" movie, was done by him and not the band. |
