A Change Of Pace
Biography
A Change of Pace initially came together around high-school buddies Torry Jasper (vocals/guitar) and Jonathan Kelly (drums), who were both itching to graduate so they could get out of their sleepy hometown of Peoria, AZ. Bonding over a shared love of pop-punk, the guys would see the lineup shift around them early on as they perfected their explosive, pop-edged alternative rock. They self-released their first EP in 2003, Change Is the Only Constant, and toured with Senses Fail before being accidentally discovered by their future manager through their Purevolume webpage. A deal with Immortal quickly followed and A Change of Pace's debut full-length, An Offer You Can't Refuse, appeared in March 2005. By now, Jasper and Kelly were joined by Johnny Abdullah (bass/vocals) and Adam Rodgers (guitar). Summer 2006 saw the addition of guitarist Dan Parker (formerly of Peoria's Don't Let Go) to the lineup, and Jasper consequently focused on vocals. The band toured briefly leading up to the August 2006 release of Prepare the Masses, including a handful of Warped Tour dates. ~ Corey Apar, All Music Guide

Seriously. If you listen to music just cuz a band is christian ur retard. these guys are good whether they're christian or not

These guys are nothing like Fall Out Boy. FOB is a good band dont get me wrong but they are nothin alike. The Vocals are totally different. They play so much differently too. Just two different styles
FOB!? they dont remind me of them at all...in my opinion ACOP is deeper..but idk...♫
I can see the resemblance in style to FOB but upon listening to them i wasn't like, "OMG these guys remind of FOB so friggin much i could pee myself." They came up on my Anberlin radio station.
ok, idk if they sound like FOB, but i agree that they have the same musical orientation in their music. but they do not make me think of FOB at all.
A-M-A-Z-I-N- G . i looove these guys.
by the way, who cares if they sound like another band....? they sill are awesome. |
These guys are amazing. But I have to agree that they and Fall Out Boy are similar. There is nothing wrong with Fall Out Boy thou.
weekend warriors is one of the best songs EVERRR.
and uuuuggghhh omg take fall out boy off the similar list PLEASE. |
Not bad, not bad. A kind of a departure from the sound I usually like, but they're a nice band.
These guys are way underrated I think. Yeah they sound the same as all the rest, but if you listen to the entire "Prepare the Masses" album, they can sound the same as multiple bands from multiple genres. They can do pop-punk, hardcore, indie, and they even throw in some older rock influences. Read the review for "Prepare the Masses", it pretty much sums this band up.
