I have always enjoyed Clara Wards singing. She has been singing for many years solo and with the Caravans perhaps other groups. Her music today sounds as good as it did when she first began recording.

I especially like this song by the Clara Ward Singers "Surely Don't You Know GOD is Able" My mother, who is still alive, use to play this song while ironing and doing other household chores. Listing to various gospel songs in the late 1950's and 1960's seem to help families make a way out of know way. There was always a gospel song played over and over pertaining to a trial and tribulation that would inspire a family to hold on and keep the faith for this to shall pass.
