sounds a lot like 8 bit weapon and other similar artist its fun to listen to and chill out
if the NES had enough bits to hold this type of music it would have started a revolution hahha Copy FTW!

Marius is probably a bit pretentious but he's alright. Before this electro stuff he used to produce really sick beats for my friends. His sample based stuff was just as good and I don't know why he doesn't want to put it out. He could just release the instrumental s . His live performances are cool even if he just plays the bass line on the keytar. I remember hanging out with him, he's pretty cool. Anyway, go Portland!

Really cool. Is there a link to this artist's website anywhere?

the first time i heard this guy i was like, wow i've been looking for a sound like this for so long. Mad skills

I just heard Copy for first time an hour ago, and I now have a "copy" station, and its super sweet so far. I make music using Fruity Loops, and I often hear that it sounds like a video game (partly due to software, partly due to me). Often, its not a compliment. I've tried to make that sound work, and am sometimes moderately successful, but this guy - he's sick with that sound. And I'm green with envy.
i love the retro feel. you could insert any of these songs into a NES game and it would fit. my only wish is that there were more!!

The result is a crossover work of electronic pop that will appeal to both hardcore sound boys / IDM nerds and the casual listening masses.

Combining dense harmonies, delivered in an 8- bit baroque electro style somewhere between Yellow Magic Orchestra and Ratatat, with snap-tight digital beats reminiscent of Dabrye, Copy has created an emotionally affecting sound that doesn’t neglect the dance floor. On Mobius Beard, fuzzy bass synths ride syncopated drum patterns, jump-cutting into ambient spaces and cresting in victorious melodic themes.

Lost of comments asking for more info. We've seen him (one-man band) live and he's awesome.
From Last.fm: Portland, Oregon’s Marius Libman, otherwise known as Copy, busts through the gates with a fully developed and essential sound on his debut LP, Mobius Beard. |

This is super awesome music. Write a bio though it would be nice to know who you are.
awesome. mobius beard is killer, great for getting me pumped for bike routes to and from campus!

Copy was one of the first artists I was introduced to on
Pandora. I only needed to hear a few songs to know I had to get Hair Guitar one way or another. I usually just d/l the fragments of albums so I rarely ever buy albums anymore unless they're damn good. Long story short couldn't find a lick of Copy anywhere on the net so I ordered the album via amazon. THIS ALBUM IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! Such an amazingly unique style all-around. 637 7|=|!$ $|=|!7 0|\/|6 |

I love it... Trying to find information on a new artists and we're all like: WHO THE F**K IS THIS?! I LOVE IT!!! I only found a song or two on Imeem and I refuse to dig through that shitshow at MySpace. Apparently he's from Portland and is dominating right now.
