Biography
Covenant is a Swedish electronic band signed to San Francisco's 21st Circuitry Records. Their music is built around deep, droning tones and thundering rhythms that support dark songs focusing on science fictional and cyberpunk themes, such as "Replicant" and "Painamplifier" from Dreams of a Cryotank. The third recorded band to use the name Covenant, they issued The United States of Mind in early 2000. ~ Steven McDonald, All Music Guide

Not a fan, they get way too soft in songs and it just makes it sound like indie rock with electronica. Not bad, but not to my liking.

@PHM: This is goth, the vocals are typical to the genre. It is intended to give flat lined vibes and moods.

I've been listening to Covenant since the Europa release. So sad that one of the members has indefinitely left the band to have a family. However, I am really looking forward for the future of what Covenant releases, now that Daniel Mayer of Haujobb has joined them.

Grand Stuff! I agree with "Ace", I honestly have not heard anything good in the electronic/t e c h n o / i n d u s t r i a l field from America in a while. (forever?).. .

quite possibly they right so many i am based lyrics because the listener is supposed to feel like part of the song when they sing it, that's all i got
i love this band though, been listening to them since northern lights, and got into the rest of it quickly. |

They sound similar to She Gets Revenge, and the singer reminds me of Interpol.

I absolutely LOVES me some Covenant. I still sing Theramin in my head all the time: "We dance to the sound of sirens, and we watch genocide to relax!" Ahhhh... epic.

Seems all the great dark electronic bands are from elsewhere and it's like finding a gem in the sand. If you like Covenant and VNV Nation (my personal favorite) try Apoptygma Berserk. Go Sweden!!

lord help me - how did i miss this band? i imagine that i'll be using my last bit of visa credit to download every last morsel of Covenant from I-tunes. i recently broke the bank on VNV, Icon of Coil, and Assemblage 23. covenant is next 4 sure.

Why does Covenant have such a pitiful biography? You'd think they deserve better since they pretty much never suck :)

I think the club mix of Stalker is the greatest thing I've ever heard and I wish Pandora would play it more.

They are no longer signed to 21st Circuitry, 'cos 21st Circuitry is no more. Pity, that.
