Cusco
Biography
Two German keyboardists lead this band: Michael Holm had a long string of Top Ten vocal records in Germany during the '60s and '70s; Kristian Schultze is one of Europe's busiest studio musicians. They share an interest in South America's prehistoric musical heritage, yet their albums are far from traditional. Cusco combines catchy melodies and steady rock/funk beats with just enough ethnic percussion and electronically generated panpipe sounds to give a South American flavor. ~ Linda Kohanov, All Music Guide

Cusco brings some of my more favorite music. Their style remains much the same throughout their albums. I own Apurimac as well as Vol.II and III; The Ring of the Dolphin and Mystic Island. Very melodic and often upbeat but nevertheless beautiful and restful.
