Biography
A pastor and music director at Detroit's Unity Cathedral of Faith, Deitrick Haddon and his Voices of Unity drew upon both secular and spiritual influences to create a sound they dubbed "gospel soul." Debuting in 1995 with Come into This House, two years later Haddon issued Live the Life, which scored a pair of Gospel Music Workshop of America Excellence Awards: "New Artist of the Year--Urban Contemporary," and "Album of the Year--Urban Contemporary." I listened to Deitrick since 2002 and fell in love with his music since than. He is one of the most inspiring Gospel artist in the Gospel music. Both him and his wife Demita are a blessing with their music.

I love Deitrick Haddon - his voice is awesome, his ministry is anoited and his heart is sincere - not very many artists can covey their conviction so strongly! This boy loves the Lord and you can hear it in every note - there is an old Gospel preacher inside of this young man for real, lol!I love the way he hollers and riffs - bluesy, soulful and R&B all rolled into one.
