Demon Hunter
Biography
Sgt. Serpent, Chuck Knuckles, Utah Biggs, Arm, and John Gredal comprise the heavy, aggressive metal sounds of Seattle's Demon Hunter. They hooked up with Aaron Sprinkle (MxPx, Dolour, Poor Old Lu) for their Solid State self-titled debut, which appeared in fall 2002. Their individual identities were later revealed as brothers (and ex-Training for Utopia members) vocalist Ryan Clark and guitarist Don Clark, drummer Jesse Sprinkle (ex-Poor Old Lu), bassist Joe Dunn, and guitarist Kris McCaddon (ex-Embodyment). Summer of Darkness was issued in mid-2004, after which a couple membership changes occurred. Sprinkle left to join Dead Poetic and was replaced by Timothy "Yogi" Watts (ex-Lonely Hearts), and McCaddon exited to be replaced by Ethan Luck (formerly of the O.C. Supertones). Triptych followed in 2005. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide

I have all of their albums. Amazing music. Transends a great divide. May they continue to bring forward truth in their lyrics. They ROCK beyond belief!!!

On my station I generally get Christian rock and metal but everyonce and awhile I get secular metal bands that sound alot like my favorite Christian metal bands but that couldn't hold up to bands like Demon Hunter. Keep your soul in the music.

I've heard it said that Christians cannot compete with what secular bands are just as competent or even better at, musically. I beg to differ: Demon Hunter can dish it out just as well or even better than the other guys AND they do it for Christ. Best kind of music in my opinion.

I agree with Carson, it's awesome to have a Christian metal band with such great talent. The mainstream metals convey a life without Christ in it, it gets depressing after awhile.
Ah, Demon has Become one of my favorite bands because I am alwyas searching for good Christian metal because I tend to get tired of metal bands that rag on our government and religion. Their sound is also such a good mix of heaviness and light parts, it's awesome.
Christian metal is awesome... it's great to hear my type of music with music that not only DOESN'T insult Christianity , but helps it!
Pandora is always missing albums... |
where is there self titled as well as there new album storm the gates of hell
Man. Sucks to be on the East Coast. They finally come to Virginia right where I live and they couldn't play. Think Ryan was sick...
Other bands on the tour rocked my face off though. Advent, The Mighty Famine, Oh Sleeper, and ESPECIALLY the epic return of Living Sacrifice. Totally made up for them being gone and I had a blast. I highly suggest you check them bands out if you're into the Christian Metal scene. |

I always thought Demon Hunter was a screamo band. Their certainly not (Entirely), and are actually very musically literate.
I BELIEVE THIS IS FRESH BEYOND BANDS LIKE TROUBLE ,BUT THEYVE BEEN HERE FOR TWENTY YEARS AND THESE GUYS HAVENT,CHRIS T I A N I MEAN ALL I CAN SAY IS GOD BLESS EM YA RIGHT MAN.

awesome band. awesome style of music. yeah, i noticed it says nothing about them being christian in their bio
Demon Hunter rocks but the name sounds kinda dark but christan at the same time still they rock for a christan band I want to see them live.
i love this group and they have an awesome message for why they do what they do. i advise you to listen to them.
If you're going to cover a song, why not give it a new life, rather than simply exhuming the dead body and presenting exactly as it was. Very creative. NOT
this is awsome, nice work.i love to find more bands like u guys and as i lay dying
rock for christ man. he saved your life. and I ain't lien man he took away your strife. yEAH!

I have mad respect for these guys and they are my favorite christian band. It is pretty messed up that they don't have their self titled or Storm The Gates Of Hell, which is a hella awesome CD. I also respect their graphic artwork.
I think it funny that nowhere in the bio does it say they are a christian band.
