I first fell in love with Dinah Washington's voice in 1949 and it only got better in 1959. It got real, real good when she teamed up with one of the finest singers of the day, and most under rated and over looked, Brook Benton.
Together, they were magic!
I first heard each of them sing individually when I was
just 9 years old, in 1959. She sang "What A Difference
A Day Makes," and he sand "It's Just A Matter Of Time."
Since then, I have enjoyed both, together and separately.
