Dominici
Selected Discography
The only album here is "03 A Trilogy - Part 2". They couldn't have made it more obvious that there's much more they don't have available.
I've only heard one of their songs (The Calling), But I like it alot. Seems to be pretty clear on what it wants to be. |

"Suprisingly good" Sums it up pretty well. I don't like this kind of music much, but here I am listening to dominici.

The music friggin smokes, bass drums keys and guitars. I'm sorry Charlie, this is why I dont like When Dream and Day unite, I am not fond of the vocals.

||
I like it! Great rhythms, solos, vocals, I could definitely have an air guitar session with the devil himself!

||
Isn't this nice ! Dizzying levels of technical fluidity ! Vocals have enough raw flavor to burnish the Shine beautifully !!

pretty cool band... and its cool to hear dominici in a better sound than on DT's first album (i personally like that cd, just not the vox... but then i don't always enjoy labrie's either). my only complaint is that they seem to be living in DT's shadow... there are a few riffs/ musical ideas i've heard in a few of the songs on pandora that sound directly taken from DT songs (e.g. Honor Thy Father).

Surprisingly good. The vocalist sounds a lot better than he did on that long-ago DT debut album. Not up to LaBrie's chops, but then you're either born with that kind of voice or you aren't; all the training in the world couldn't make me (or apparently Dominici) sound as good as LaBrie.
The only song I've heard is "The Calling," so I can't say anything about the whole album, but if it lives up to that song, then DAMN! That's a killer song. |

I like Dominici, But I am glad DT went the way they did. Dominici has nothing on LaBrie, however hearing CD and JLB dueting on Metropolis on When Dream And Day Reunite is amazing

Wow..... not what I was expecting. Charlie sounds great.... and this is from a guy who realllllllll l l l l l l l l l l l y didn't like the vox on DT's first album.
DT should throw CD a bone and give him a slot on the Prog Nation tour.... |

these guys are good, and a bit harder and more like modern sounding Dream Theater, but not near as technical and i don't like the singer at all. (Which is also why i dont like dream theater's album "when dream and day unite") And dont say i "dont know what i am talking about". I am a music major that has followed Dream Theater and has studied the music on guitar for years.
The guitarist sounds a lot like modern Petrucci, but he has nothing on John. You will never touch him in this style. But o |

dms 16 is a douche bag. This band is no where near as musical as Dream Theater. listen to systematic chaos, or train of thought.

Charlie Dominici is indeed DT's first recorded vocalist. He replaced Chris Collins who was a member of their first group Majesty.

I don't know, but this music does sound amazingly like dream theater. I like it a little better than DT--it's more musical.
