Dream Evil
Biography
Dream Evil is the pet project of producer Fredrik Nordstrom and guitarist Gus G., both of whom felt they could easily become a strong force in the metal underground if they teamed up. Forming a power metal foursome with drummer Snowy Shaw and vocalist Niklas Isfeldt, the band recorded Dragon Slayer and released it in the summer of 2002. In 2003, the humorous Evilized put a new spin on their sound, offering several self-consciously silly lyrics that fit well into their improved approach. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
Selected Discography
Pandora decided to play them on my station for the first time today, and thus I've found yet another metal band I enjoy. Yay!

Dream Evil and most power metal in general gets redundant after the first f**king 4 songs. Dream Evil though, manages to stay a cut above the rest in my f**king opinion!
I would love to see these guys live. I saw Firewind a few years ago, so I've seen Gus G, but it's not the same as getting to ses Dream Evil.
Kinda cheesy actually, just like most "dragonslaye r " music. That being said, I like them. The vocalist sounds intense, but he actually sings. Save Us is one of my favorite songs.
One of my favorite new discoveries ... Kamelot meets Scorpions meets Iron Maiden meets Dokken ... with their own unique twist and sound ... excellent ... not one bad song in the lot ... tired is a great anthem
Some of the best hard hitting power metal ive ever known. I love this band and when they play book of heavy metal live its fkin intense!! Dual guitar RIFF HEAVEN!!!!
Man two of my all time favorite songs : Vengance, Blind Evil. Go Gus, GO!! lol f**king dream evil is the s**t! \m/>_<\m/

I'm sitting and watching my sailboat bob. A glass of Dom and a good bowl. My friends think that I've gone quite mad. At least, a mid-life crisis. Screw them! Pandora, keep feeding my head at keyWestRoXra d i O . . .

Wonderful music. Great sound. However the lyrics never make any sense, and it sounds like they just wrote what sounds cool. Nonetheless, killer band. Gus G. has 2 other really impressive bands to his name as well. Rock on. \m/>_<\m/

I have never been to a rave. I just like the word Raver with the OfDarkness after it. First, I hate glow sticks if that is what you are referring to as a "lightsaber" . Second, I ain't gay, just unlucky with the ladies.
The Prophecy is a sweet song love this band...Raver O f D a r k n e s s likes to have "lightsaber battles" with his bf
Falling is just powerful. Soaring chorus. Makes me want to do battle.

Dream Evil, great band. I personally like Evilized the best of all their cd's. The Book of Heavy Metal is great as well, but for me there is just something
about Evilized that kicks a**. I really wished Snowy Shaw and Gus G were still in the band. They seem to be a lot tighter in their songwriting and playing than the current lineup. I do like United however, don't get me wrong, just needs a little more punch here and there and I think Gus and Snowy would have provided that extra kick. |
my friends recommended that i hear dream evil because they sound like dragonforce, but after looking at their similar artists i can tell they were wrong, but good band anyways.

I just heard The 7th Day. It brought me and my work to a dead standstill.
"On the 7th Day Heavy Metal was Born"...HELL YEAH!!!!! Now back to my regularly scheduled cubicle chaos. |
One of my favorite bands of all time. All the benefits of metal without annoying screaming or throating. I agree with everyone else here, where's the Book of Heavy Metal? It's a completely amazing CD. However, I don't like them as much as I did pre-United. I miss Snowy. :'(
Hey GIR, I have the Book of Heavy Metal and I agree with you...kicks MAJOR A**!
The Book of Heavy Metal is my all time favorite by Dreamevil. Over-the-top awesome and Humorous!
How can you miss with lyrics like 'on the 7th day heavy metal was born'???
I love Dream Evil. United and Dragonslayer are without a doubt their best work. ^^
What? No "THE BOOK OF HEAVY METAL"? Why not? THE BOOK OF HEAVY METAL is the crown-jewel of DREAM EVIL's Discography!
The Book needs to be an encyclopedia . Either include everybody or don't bother. Soon there will be more bands than people to hear them.
