Dru Hill
Biography
High school friends Jazz, Sisqo, Nokio, and Woody formed Dru Hill in 1995, named in honor of their Baltimore neighborhood, Druid Hill Park. The rappers performed at the music-industry convention Impact '96 and were signed by Island not long after. By late 1996, Dru Hill had released its self-titled debut album, produced by Keith Sweat, Stanley Brown, and Tim "Dawg" Patterson. The single "Tell Me" -- culled from the soundtrack to the film Eddie -- became a Top Five R&B hit and later went gold. Enter the Dru followed in 1998, peaking at number two on the Billboard album chart. Despite Sisqo's solo success with "Thong Song," the group continued intact -- along with new member Skola -- and issued Dru World Order in 2002, two years after it was initially slated for release. The Hits compilation followed in 2005, eventually reaching three million in sales. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

Beauty is one of my favorite songs. It was beautifully written and they sang it like they meant it. What girl wouldn't want someone to sing this to them. It's so romantic!! I wish they still made music like this.

Ah Dru Hill, a guilty pleasure. I used to think they (particularl y Sisqo with his K-Ci Hailey similar vocals) were just a Jodeci rip-off - especially at the beginning of their career, but I'll be the first to admit their 1996 album burned a hole in my CD Player, especially as Jodeci faded out and Sisqo out K-Ci'd, K-Ci :) Now, their sound is pretty unmistakeabl e . Hope they keep going.

True r-n-b is slowly becoming an endangered species. Dru Hill, J.E., Blackstreet, come back to us
To bad inside fighting and different music intrest keep them from being truly as great as there potential.
'Dru Hill' and 'Enter the Dru' were very good albums both packed with legit records. With that said this group is the perfect example of what happens when egos collide. I think they were a better group then even they thought they were. Sisqo released one "okay" album however I feel they really need that original line up to really break new ground.
