Biography
Portland, Oregon resident Matthew Cooper records under the alias Eluvium. His ambient washes and symponic guitar pieces would feel equally as home on a Brian Eno record as a Fennesz recording. This is Great music for painting. New Animals is great. All the stuff is good and some of it is better than good. His most powerful piece to me is Repose in Blue, which is odd, I think, because I'm not at all a flag-waver.

I just heard "Radio Ballet" on All Things Considered as one of their between-stor y "buttons", and it instantly captivated me. I am always looking for music that will inspire me to dance, as this does.

"One" from Talk Amongst The Trees is a personal favorite. The symphonic rhythms quietly distract and lull.
