the reason emmure sounds like mushugga is cus jesse uses a seven string guitar (of which i play as well) its impossiable to not sound like mushugga when you play one believe me thats y i use one:D it is a diffrent instrument and should be appriciated as a new sound

I don't even see the similarities between Emmure and The Acacia Strain, why do people think they are ripping them off?
i respect there efforts to make a good breakdown but it gets repetitive at times. I do think they have the potential to grow and thrive though
Emmure IS all breakdowns, and it's easy to play, and easy to write. I like it, but don't deny what they're doing is simple. Also they've stolen a lot of their music from The Acacia Strain which is s**tty of them to do, but at least they picked a good band to steal from. It's hard to respect them for that none the less.
If you don't appreciate how difficult and intricate Emmure is then I don't think you understand music.
And Godsmack sucks a**. |
wow um alright your pret dumb..
Emmure has worked hard to do what they have done. we can all agree that Goodbye To The Gallows was the best album from Emmure. Music && lyrics are what you feel, and how you express it. don't write love songs if your not in love, b**ch about a girl if you can't get her off your mind. i love you Frank! :) |
Emmure is not all breakdowns and they aren't just another generic hardcore band. Sure, they're pretty simplistic but that doesn't mean it's easy to write. They're original and their image is their own, no matter if it doesn't appeal to you. Not to mention Frank's vocals are near unmatchable.
Perfect live by the way; the vocals sound exactly like studio. |

xxallxshallx p e r i s h x x , I agree. There are only a few songs on The Respect Issue that I can stand. I hope they start maturing musically and lyrically before they write their next record. I used to Between the Buried and Me, Becoming the Archetype, and The Faceless, so this isn't really my area, but still. Anyone can write breakdowns.
kamronkhan, Dead to Falls new CD was depressing. I am glad they broke up. as for Emmure, Their lyrical theme is getting really old - as is their style. I mean as of right now they are a pretty good band but if the next cd is just another s**t storm of breakdowns and b**ching about women I will justt give up on them, it gets old.
I agree with neal herring, their old shiz is way better, and they need to stop b**ching about the same b**ch like they have for the past 2 albums
Their new stuff is not at all as good as their old stuff. I miss "You know it's all a game that we're playing back and forth! I leave, you chase and we're back to square one!" That was golden.
bury your dead's new album sucks a**. They really fell off. Dead to fall is the s**t though! Too bad they broke up...
bury your dead and dead to fall are also sweet if you like these guys... behemoth is radical to the max also
Mosh if you must, but it sure gets in the way of my enjoyment of the bands, like Bedlam & Masacre, Firewind (awesome!), Divine Heresy, and Dark Tranquillity (absolutely STELLAR performnace! ) ! ! !
