Ennio Morricone
Selected Discography
Mr. Morricone seems to have a depth few other composers have been able to achieve. I really admire his ability to write and hope someday to be able to write a piece half as good as one of his.

Sooo...why isn't there an entry on this guy? He's pretty important, right?
John Williams,Hen r y Mancini,John Barry all great film score composers-bu t theres something about some of the Morricone scores that reaches you on a much more deeper level.

The Mission soundtrack is phenomenal. I stop what I'm doing every time one of the tracks comes on. It's so powerful.

The song "Childhood and Manhood" by Morricone from the movie The Holiday is fantastic. It's the scene when Jack Black drives up initially and it's playing in his car. Great song. Wish it was on Pandora!

There is a song by him called "The Crisis". It is incredibly beautiful, but very simple too. It is on the movies Seven Pounds and another called The Legend of 1900. You can find it on youtube, I highly reccomend it.

"Once Upon A Time In The West" is the theme music for my whole life

Pandora needs more Morricone music...I can't believe there's only one selection...
Although I do enjoy using pandora, especially because its free, I was pretty upset that I havent yet heard "ecstasy of gold", or even the general theme from "the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly".
I don't like to complain on here much - I think Pandora is fantastic - but I'm must confess my disappointme n t in Pandora's sparse Morricone catalog. I was really hoping they'd have some of the spaghetti western classics...
a new discovery for me, I love the accessablity of his music, orchestra music for the this generation.
Ah, I love his stuff. Kicks John Williams. Sorry, but I think it's true.
Stunning talent - reminds me of another younger Italian film composer, Simone Benyacar
