Escape The Fate
Biography
Appearing amid the fertile screamo scene of the 2000s, the Las Vegas quintet Escape the Fate prided itself, above all else, on an energetic and visceral live show. The band came randomly together through MySpace when an outspoken Ronnie Radke (vocals) and Max Green (bass) were looking for new bandmembers after their prior group abruptly fell apart. On the popular website, they soon found guitarist Bryan Money, who subsequently brought in Vegas transplant and guitarist Omar Espinoza (ex-Lovehatehero). Friend and drummer Robert Ortiz joined on to complete the group. Debuting live barely a month later, the guys found early success on local radio and quickly amassed a devoted hometown following. By September 2005, they had won a local radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance that awarded them the opportunity to open a show on the band's current headlining tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect. Next thing they knew, Escape the Fate was inking a deal with Epitaph. Their debut five-song EP, There's No Sympathy for the Dead, appeared in May 2006. Tour dates through the summer followed; the band subsequently dropped off a fall jaunt with Bullet for My Valentine when Radke was suddenly ousted weeks before the September release of their album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion. ~ Corey Apar, All Music Guide

Bob you're so f**king funny. Every time i read one of your comments I have to laugh. Keep it up!
And you're right they really ruined Epitaph. Since when do punk bands even really acknowledge screamo bands? Don't know what i mean, then listen to some really music! |

I think the band lost some of its talent with the loss of Ronnie. but, in my opinion Craig does have some good lyrics. Ronnie created Escape the Fate so it's way different now that he's gone.

What's actually amazing about this band is that I haven't met them to slap the s**t out of every last one of them. Way to f**k up Epitaph douchebags.. . T h a n k s .
Dude..seriou s l y ? Craig is the ex-vocalist of Blessthefall . . . . h e does not sound anything like Ronnie, that's true..but he's a great singer. Listen to their new album, it's amazing.
yeah so their newer singer sounds a bit flat to me, anyone agree? Still a good band but not quite the same. lol i like jakels1313's description of their screams, spot on
..how..the.. h e l l . . do people listen to stuff like this.. its cookie monster after 10 snorts of coccaine and 5 shots of whiskey
This band has replaced bands that have been around before your mommies missed their periods and your daddys missed their anuses. Too bad for Epitaph though, wish they didn't have to cater to stupid kids to continue to survive. Guess that's why Fat Mike and Brett don't get along, probably why Greg Graffin only takes him in small doses now. Oh? Don't know who these people are? Maybe if you weren't morons you would.
bob u can be an a** some times and this is one of those times shut up and get out.u liked them last year.
My god...Who sucked off Brett Gurewitz to get this band on Epitaph records? Potentially the worst excuse for real music that I've heard next to UGH Paramore. You kids really are stupid asses.
they look awsome they sound awsome they r my favorite band even i they r emo i dont care!
um i agree with me poisoned heart its not that great he should have never left blessthefall
Some of it reminds me of Senses Fail in a way (ex. the song: As You're Falling Down)
not to sound mean but craig doesnt make it escape the fate anymore... trust me craig is great and i loved him in blessthefall , but the new album isnt as good... but ronnie's voice is what gave them their great sound
their new album is way better than their old stuff. i totally disagree with wakbordr906. .
dude.. id have to agree fully with idiotocracy, old stuff>new album, you might still like it. dont let my words discourage you guys.. oh the webs you weave, ETF!!
well to be honest, i recently got a hold of there NEW cd by means which i'm not at liberty to share but by comparison the old is better.
Just lyricaly, the new album falls short especially in the song "ashley". Personally, i don't mind craig but the whole album doesn't even compare to the magnitude of "Dying is your latest fashion" |
i love how everyone thinks they know for sure they are better with ronnie when there is only ONE song without him out so far. judgemental much?
i like'em. ............ . . . . T H E F**KING RANSOM...... . . . . w h a t ? . . . . . . n o w that is some f**king lyrics fo yo a**.
i don't like the new singer from blessthefall .
not that he's bad or anything, just i'm very picky. it's not even the same band. i'm not going to buy their new album, only because Ronnie's not in it. If he would have just been smart and sobered up before his probation officer caught him.... |
ronnie MADE the f**kin band, and now...hes gone. so like, what the hell
great band, but they were way better with ronnie and two guitarists
amazing band... to bad ronnie F***d up his career and life :(
I've seen them twice and they f**king kicked major a** both times w/ronnie of course he gives the band the hard edge
Very Fun music.
