Excalion
Biography
Based in the central Finnish town of Konnevesi, where they first formed in the year 2000, Excalion is a power metal band whose lineup at the time of their first album, Primal Exhale, comprised vocalist Jarmo Pääkkönen, guitarists Kimmo Hänninen and Tero Vaaja, keyboardist Jarmo "Jappe" Myllyvirta, bassist Timo Sahlberg, and drummer Henri Pirkkalainen. Shortly after the album's release through Sound Riot in 2005, Hänninen and Sahlberg exited, replaced by new guitarist Vesa Nupponen, while Vaaja shifted from guitar to bass. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide

Uh, 'beginner power metal'? I wasn't aware that there were levels. If you don't like a band, that's fine, but you really don't have to brag about your 'refined' tastes. Also, Excalion has one other album, which is mentioned in the bio right there at the top of the page :-/

is waterlines their only album. because i want to get more but this is the only one i can find. also whoever said dragonforce has a high bar with powermetal hasnt listened to that much power metal. DF is a beginner power metal listener band. listen to some excalion, brainstorm, blind guardian, iced earth, and running wild and you will have heard power metal that is so far above Dragonforce its funny.

They've been growing on me ever since the first time I listened to them. The first time I wasn't so sure, but now I'm convinced. These guys are AWEXOME!!!

I can't believe this was compared to Dragonforce. Excalion is a really good power metal band. I love listening to The Wingman.

Can the singer just come to the US and be a ringer on American Idol. His voice is like so dang powerful and righteous! I even got my mother to like Between the Lines and she doesn't like metal. Yeah.... I had to throw my mother into it... but this group really rocks!

LOL, that's because there are probably 10,000x more bands on Pandora! I can't remember the last time I listened to the radio and liked even half of what I heard. Maybe on that station in Portland OR that plays everything. But the only stuff I liked was --- the --- (wait for it!) 80S MUSIC!!!!!!!

No s**t!!!!! Staggers the imagination! Boggles the mind! Etc!!!! Geez, what was I wasting my time before Pandora???? It sure as hell wasn't on awesome music! Of course, the fact that Pandora is free makes an incredible difference. Imagine having to pay for all the music I hear . . . enough to make you want to jump off a bridge.
