Biography
Family Force 5, who once went by the name the Phamily, came together outside Atlanta, GA, in 2004. The Olds brothers (Soloman or "Soul Glow Activatur" and twins Jacob and Joshua, "Crouton" and "Phatty," respectively) plus friends Nathan Currin ("Nadaddy") and Derek Mount ("Chap Stique") make up the band (original guitarist Brad Allen, or "20 Cent," left to play with other Georgia-based groups Everyday Sunday and the Trust), whose "crunk-rock" sound gained them attention from Maverick Records. yeah, the lyrics are less than stellar, but you have to give them props for the tremendous energy their songs contain and impart.

They're the Rabbit Junk / Mindless Self Indulgence of the christian music scene. Glad they do what they do. I like that sound, but need GOOD lyrics to go along with it.

ff5 is a unique sound which makes it great to listen to. dance or die album exceeds expectations and last 2 records. hopefully the new album is put up! great band.

Dance or die is out now, its been out for a while now........ hopefully they are analyzing the songs as i write this, otherwise thats a major disappointme n t . some people arent going to like the new style, but it is still under the genre "completely amazing"

We saw them live at AGAPE Music Fest in 2007. My youth group teens LOVE THEM!! They are high energy!! They have the "look" kids like and they proclaim the message that Chirst is their source. They are fun and crazy.

I never knew this band was Christian. I never would've known just by listening to their songs. It just goes to show you not all Christian bands are slow, boring songs that make you fall asleep. |

family force 5 is the best "crunk" band. their songs make you want to dance and sing. the band is really funny and have a great sense of humor. the best thing about this band is that they are christian and they aren't afraid to be loud about it and let people know about Him.
