LOL, I read the title of this song and had to listen and couldn't help but laugh! The music is pretty decent, but the lyrics are pretty cheesy, no offense to Obama.

There is nothing wrong with political music i.e.: Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Dead Kennedys, Crass, etc. Politics is an essential part of the struggle that is life, and thus it firmly belongs in music. However, the aforemention e d artists had music that had merit in and of itself -- the style of music IS its substance. The Obama song sucked as much as Obama does not -- namely, very much.

haha i thought it sounded cool, then i heard Obama, and i was like, wait, what'd she say? and sure nuff, song named for Obama. hahah i think its awesome, but, politics should stay outta music prolly.

Really... we don't need commercials, especially if its political in nature.
I'm all for uncensored music, but we don't need to be pushed this kind of stuff encapsulated in our music streams, which we consider fairly safe from any influence from political ideologies.. . not to mention political pushing. Too bad... the group sounds good, the message is horrible... no matter which candidate you plug. |
