Although the inspiration to the early-Cure albums is undeniable, these guys are remaking this sound in their own image. Their songs, "A Bag of Broken Hands," Seafoam Warm Piss," "Fireflies Make Us Sick," and "Detach Me from My Head" have all become frequently-playeds on my iPod. Visually, the lyrics are both creative and unique. The music is layered with something new on every listen. This is a nostalgic-laden new experience.
Oh this is TRULY pathetic. I've heard a lot of hack 80's imitators recently but I've never heard anyone yet who literally has no identity of their own. You know what, guys? The 80s were great because artists strove to sound UN-like anyone else. You're totally missing the point and playing bad music in the bargain. Freaking posers.
