The Fire Still Burns
Biography
Collecting former members of local punk rock bands like Lifetime, Ensign, Vision, Ex Number Five, and the Scarlet Letter, New Brunswick, NJ's the Fire Still Burns came together in summer 2004, and were already releasing a three-song demo just a few months later. Local gigs and indie label interest quickly followed, and the band (comprising singer Alf Bartone, guitarists Nathan Gluck and Scott St. Hilarie, bassist Carl Rizzo, and drummer Derik Moore) soon found a home for their melodic hardcore and pop-punk sounds with Blackout Records, issuing the six-song Keeping Hope Alive EP in late 2005. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
