bring your balls if you see em live.... not your ordinary "christians" ... trust me, i'm not religous but i prayed to get outta that show alive.
These guys used to live near me! Good to see them get some recognition outside of McHenry County.
i would like to take this time to reiterate my hatred for snoop_69_405 . i hate snoop_69_405 .
you guys shouln't be fighting over stupid thigs such as a band!!!!!!!! !
bacca, why ex-Christian ? If your an "ex-Christia n " then by that faith your actually not a has been, your a never was. No offense man, but that's how God rolls. It's likely you were lying to yourself about the faith from the beginning. The good thing is at least you are aware of your true thoughts now. Self-honesty counts for something right?

I am of Scotch-Irish descent, so for me the music has a deeper value. It takes me to the homeland I never knew and have little seen.
additionally , i've never wanted to have a button on the keyboard that punches somebody through the computer than when i read the comment by snoop_69_405
. man you're an idiot. the bagpipes have been implemented in ireland for a long time. shut your elitist mouth, douche bag, and listen to good music. also, celtic punk isn't a fad from 5 years ago, it's been around since the sixtys and will be around for a long time to come...so shut your mouth before i punch you in the throat. |
first of all, bacca2 i'd rank your comment as one of the top ten dumbest things i've ever read on the internet, and make the extremely conservative assumption that you are slightly retarded. secondly, king of the hill rules. thirdly, and most importantly, flatfoot 56 is awesome in every way. i hope they make more music and tour forever.

The christian thing and moshing to 'Amazing grace' actually works for everyone.
Christains feel all good inside and want to let out the adrenaliine in what they see as bonding Ex-christian s , myself included, can conjure up images of thier points of frustration with the judeo-christ i a n tradition, and let lose on the smiling god nuts around them. Then again, maybe that's just me. Either way, they kick a**! |
seen them a few times!
WONDERFUL TIMES.. more then likely if you ever get to see the boys live do it! |
These guys are fun as hell. They opened up for the Street Dogs and really knew how to get the crowd into the show.
I agree. Their piper is incredibly talented, and that's one of the first things I noticed about the band. In some ways, I enjoy listening to these guys more than the Dropkick Murphys. If the music fecking rocks, their religion doesn't matter to me.
just because they dont SOUND christian doesn't mean they arent. very common misconceptio n ! great band regardless.
hexx you hit the nail on the head. theres alot of so called punk and oi! bands out there that could learn some stuff from Flatfoot...i n t e n s i t y , lyrical depth, showmanship, musical integrity... t h e s e guys got it all. Im personally not in tune with the whole christian thing, but its thier thing, whatever...t h e rules certainly dont apply to this band. Harder than 95% of the hardcore acts out there and the fastest bagpiper ive ever heard in my life.

My normal attitude to Chritian rock is summed up by the words of the great Texas philosopher Hank Hill "Can't you see you're not making Christianity better, you're just making rock and roll worse?" That is not the case with these guys I was really taken back by the Knuckles Up album. I only heard one song that was to me overtly Christian. I have to say Jungle of the Midwest
Sea. A lot of punk bands could take some cues from these guys. |
yo, "j mendez42" that's not so nice........ . . . a broom won't do it!
these guys are cool! very similar to Dropkick Murphys only Christian! awesome!!
who cares were it started they kick a**...
"chux" go shuv a broomstick up ur a** your as hard as a gummie bear in the sun |
kmcaleer: Is that what you band teacher told you? Last time I checked we didn't import backwood hillbilly music from the Olde World.

Blues didn't start on a guitar, it started when slaves in America tried to play music based around a penatonic scale (5 notes) on wester Europen instruments (octive scale, 8 notes), specifically piano. They had to play two notes together to make some of the penatonic intervals, called "blue notes."
Blues and later jazz are the only two purely American art forms. |
Heard it all before. Dropkick, R.McKenzies, F.Molly...et c . Bag pipes only sound cool at a Cops funeral! And the comment about the blues not bieng American because the guitar originated in the Middle East? I used to not like thier music, now I don't like thier fans!
Seen these guys with the Street Dogs. They kick a**. Got to meet them and they are the most down to earth guys I've ever met. X-tian or not, they can hold their own. Some band's are X-tian just for the sake of being X-tian. This is a band that obviously loves the music they play but happend to be X-tian. This non-theist loves their music.
The Bag pipes might have started in Scotland but a breed of bag pipes made their way to Ireland where the became part of the local music and Gaelic culture in the middle ages. Guitars come from an Arabic culture so then blues isn't American ,would be the same statement as bag pipes are Scottish so it isn't true Irish music. This is good Irish music. Has allot of intensity.
too bad its not truly Irish. Bagpipes are mainly a Scottish instrument. I guess you can't really hear true Irish music unless you go there like i have.
i've been seeing these guys since they played church basements good shows, great music, and who the hell cares about the three songs they have about god, the rest are awesome! Tobin=PitGod
