Frank McComb
Biography
Contemporary jazz singer/keyboardist Frank McComb was born in Cleveland on July 15, 1970, beginning his piano studies at age 12 and forming his first trio five years later. His professional break followed in 1991, when he was tapped as musical director for the R&B group Rude Boys, subsequently backing DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince in the studio and on tour; in late 1992, McComb signed to the Mojazz label, and in 1994 collaborated with Branford Marsalis on his jazz-rap fusion project Buckshot LeFonque. The solo Love Stories followed in early 2000. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide

This cat is incredible. He has that Stevie/Donni e combination going on. I saw him live at a small venue in Dallas, TX a few years ago and the show was awesome.

This is my first time experiencing the soulful sounds of Frank McComb. Very talented artist. I will have to let my family and friends know about this artist.

Absolutely, I saw Frank also at the Rashaan Patterson's show in Sacramento and was absolutley taken with Frank's soulful intrepretati o n s and arrangements . He is our modern day Donnie Hathaway!

Learned about Frank by accident. He opened in Sacramento for Rashaan Patterson, big mistake!!!! Frank ripped up so good that Rashaan knew he couldn't top Frank's show, so he just sung about six or so songs and shut it down.
Met Frank at subsequent shows in the area. Great spirit, good man, which shows in his music... |

Beautiful voice. Brings back memories of Donnie Hathaway. Wish he could get some air time on the local radio stations. Thanks Pandora.

I never heard of him, but I like this song(Listen to Your Heart). I'm years late, but I'm going to get this cd! I LOVE Pandora for introducing me to new music! He also reminds me of J.Little too. Remember him? He was w/the Rude Boys. What happened to him? I used to love his music! He's not on Pandora though!

I see how everyone thinks he sounds like Donny Hathaway, but I think he has a voice like Stevie Wonder especially on "Love Natural". This brother sure can sing with his fine self.
