Funker Vogt
Biography
An electronic-body-music duo with updated electronics and a more aggressive style, Funker Vogt was formed by vocalist Jens Kastel and programmer Gerrit Thomas (they took the name Funker Vogt from a radio-operator friend). The duo appeared on several compilations in their native Germany, and released their debut album Thanks for Nothing in 1996. After the release of two limited EPs (Words of Power and Take Care), Funker Vogt signed an American deal with Metropolis Records. The label reissued their debut, and also released the follow-up We Came to Kill in late 1997. Kastel and Thomas have also worked as remixers on Leæther Strip's Yes, I'm Limited, Vol. 2, returning in mid-2000 with Maschine Zeit. T. was issued in early 2001. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

To me their "Aviator" album is a real improvement. There's much more variety and complexity with each track having a more unique sound than they tended to in the past. It's too bad Pandora doesn't have it. :-(

Godlike, I love the singer, beat and everything. I love how they scratch the voice sometimes so it sounds like he is singing into a mic in the middle of a battlefield. Not as annoying as NIN even though NIN's earlier stuff was very good.

Uhhh, the way the vocalize is their style. How 'bout you come up with a band, get a record deal, and figure it out yourself. It's always so easy to criticize good talent.

Definitely could stand to have a better singer, but then that applies to 90% of industrial bands with annoying as hell distorted voices. They should all take a lesson from Nine Inch Nails and Imperative Reaction.

The song gunman is just freaking fun great beat and rythem and it just makes you want to dance.

I'm listening to GUNMAN. Just a bit more continuity and the song would be absolutely perfect. But as it is, it's really, really beautiful. Funker Vogt may be my favorite band. Never would have found it without Pandora.

Another one I keep hearing at the club but never buy... Sounds pretty sweet when you can hear the whole range of sound in the songs. Time to buy. Thanks Pandora.

I finally got the chance to see these guys live at Kinetik Festival in Montreal very recently... Holy crap, they did not disappoint! Their energy is addictive and they had the crowd absolutely crazed with dancing, stomping, and hell, even moshing, out on the floor. It was unreal...
That being said, why doesn't Pandora have the Aviator album on here yet??? |

Man what is there to say. An amazing band with extremely harsh vocals and rough electronics, the way Aggrotech is meant to be.

Every track I've heard on my "Industrial" station by them has left me wanting more. It makes me buzz inside even while sober! I'd love the chance to blast them while having a rough romp :)

Saw these guys in florida. And twice in Atlanta. Sat down and talked to the lead vocalist while having some beers, his speech was slurred and his english was lack but the coolest guy i spoken to in a long time. As far as musicians go. However God Module , Andy from Combichrist, Ron from VNV are great guys too.

i like this s**t it maks me tingle inside doing psychedalics at their concert is something to look into!!!
