Girlyman
Selected Discography
Love them, love the harmony and sweetness in their work. But Pandora, please PLEASE make "Reva Thereafter" available to your Girlyman fans, and a bio and background info on the group would be nice, as well.

They are excellent live. I saw them at the TripleDoor in Seattle last year. Great harmony. I have tickets to the Tractor tavern, also in Seattle, to see them in October. Looking forward to it.

This is the first time I've heard them too, and I'm trying to pretend to work while I just enjoy it. How have I not heard this before? It's great!

Color me jealous of all you folks that have enjoyed this amazing trio! Why didnt you tell me! Love them to come to Texas but dont see any dates on their website. I will have to settle for music from here and I-tunes, video from Vimeo.

These guys are really, really good. Joyful Sign grabbed me from the first note. Lots of good music in Atlanta, but I think this is one of the tightest groups to emerge in a while.

Surprised I hadn't heard them before Pandora. Hope to see them live! At leat pick up a cd or two (which are best?)

This Folk trio does everything right from writing original lyrics that sing sweetly
in perfect harmony to playing all the instruments in their songs themselves-I will see them live when they're in town again. I have three of their CD's and praying for more. I can listen to their work all day long and never grow tired of it- they're just that good. |
||
I have seen them as openers steal the show, and now they have become the show many places. They are a seamless vocal trio, funny, humble and wonderfully real.

It's too bad there isn't more info about them here, but in case you can't use google yourself check out http://www.g i r l y m a n . c o m / . And as stated below, see them live or if you live in the middle of nowhere get the live cd, or both - it's well worth it! They made me appreciate folk music.

Gotta add my voice to those who've seen Girlyman in concert- they're without comparison. It feels like you're sitting in their living room watching them hang out with their best friends while making music. That's what music was intended for in the first place

Just saw them in concert last night. I recommend the experience highly. If you can't make it to a show buy the live album to hear their clever banter and amazing encore.

Never heard of them until Pandora started playing them on my "Nickel Creek" station; now they're one of its seed artists. I love close harmonies - 2nd Chapter of Acts, the Wailin' Jennys, sometimes the Dixie Chicks and a couple of the a-capella groups - but these folks are the closest.
Guess maybe if I have a chance I'll have to think about seeing them in concert, based on y'all's comments. Thanks. |

We've seen Girlyman at least six times now, and they never disappoint. We discovered them when they opened for Dar Williams a few years ago and they blew us away. Their original songs, amazing harmony and entertaining banter make for a great show.

Do not miss them live. They are funny and entertaining , and the harmonies are even more chilling in person. They have consistently been my favorite band since I saw them open for Dar Williams. Each album is tighter than the last.
|
||
I was blown away with Remember Who I Am. The close harmony is so beautiful that at times it almost hurts my ears.
|
||
Their lyrics, harmonies, and vocals are amazing. Girlyman is one of my new favourite bands. Thanks, Pandora.

Just heard them for the first time today (thanks Pandora) and their harmonies are so incredibly tight (not in the ghetto sense). WOW!
|
||
Love the harmonies and wonderful lyrics of Girlyman

This just may be the best band you've never heard of. I was lucky enough to catch them opening for Dar Williams a few years ago. They simply blew me away in concert, and their album Little Star was no dissappointm e n t to say the least.
