Hatebreed
Biography
The New Haven, CT-based Hatebreed got together in 1993 for the purpose of creating a "back to basics" hardcore band with heavy, metallic guitars, screaming vocals, and 30-second songs. Consisting of Jamey Jasta (vocals), Lou "Boulder" Richards (guitar), Chris Beattie (bass), Sean Martin (guitar), and Rigg Ross (drums), Hatebreed had the chance to play throughout the East Coast while sharing the stage with the likes of Entombed, the Deftones, Slayer, and Napalm Death. By 1997, Victory Records released the quintet's debut full-length, entitled Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire. The group signed with Stillborn/Republic/Universal for 2002's Perseverance and 2003's Rise of Brutality. Supremacy arrived on Roadrunner Records in 2006, featuring new guitarist Frank Novinec (who'd previously spent time playing with Ringworm, Terror, and Integrity). ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide

cts- no, you shouldn't comment unless you want to be schooled in music knowledge. try reading the post again before you open your mouth. then again, you're probably 13 and know very little about music in general.

hatebreed is bad a**, vash the stampede put ACDC and Hatebreed in the same subject, LOL, i just better not comment

This isn't too bad, but all the songs are the same- ala AC/DC (save for the obvious different styles of music, but you get the point). Same sound, different song. Doesn't mean it's bad, just means it's very limited and can't grow organically like many other hard core bands can and have. NYHC is where the "real" hard core is. Get into it- i.e. Agnostic Front, Sick of it All, Madball, Vision of Disorder (VOD), Bloodsimple, etc.

The reason that so many kids like hardcore now. Jamey should stop trying to do that singing thing he did on Supremacy, though.

Jamey Jasta seemed like such a calm guy on Headbangers Ball and then I saw some Hatebreed videos, holy s**t! this guy goes off! Good, raw and powerful, how could you not like it?

Why do I like Hatebreed? The same reason I like corn dogs. I don't know why I love stuffed inverted rectum, covered with corn batter and fried on a stick, I just do.
|
||
BORING. Why is this band so big? They're about as "intense" as refreshment hour at the retirement home.
|

Hatebreed has been my favorite band for two years, and I don't think I'll ever stop listening to their music.
